The summer months are finally here, I feel like we spend all year waiting for these days! With the warmer season comes new fitness challenges for us to navigate, such as: vacation time vs. workout time, how to sweat-proof life, and daily balancing of summer indulgences. I think one thing we can all agree on is that the concept of the “summer body” is officially cancelled. It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress!
Summer is a great time for travel, but this can also affect our regularly scheduled workouts. If you’re away from your usual routine, give yourself a little grace while also holding yourself to a certain movement standard. Traveling with a resistance band and DanceBody LIVE is your best bet to keep a few structured workouts going while you’re OOT. Remember, you can always download your On Demand workouts ahead of time if you know you won’t have access to wifi!
Summer = SWEAT: we all know it! Make your sweat work for you. If you are rushing from your workout to a meeting or day date, slick back that hair into a low, messy bun. I love styling mine back with John Frieda’s Frizz Ease Secret Weapon Touch Up Cream - it’s never failed me, plus you can find it everywhere. My newest find is Supergoop’s Unseen Sunscreen - not only does it provide sun protection, but it leaves your skin looking and feeling matte. Another new product in my sweat-proof arsenal is Summer’s Eve Active Spray. I spray this on my leggings or shorts before my workout to keep things as dry as possible - also I sneakily double it as a quick spray deodorant - why not!? Last, my waterproof mascara is a non-negotiable must have. I have been obsessed with L’Oreal’s Double Extend Waterproof Mascara for years. Stays on all day long as I run (sweaty!) from place to place.
Burgers, apple pie, ice cream, fries, ROSÉ, these are a few of my favorite summer things. I know they are going to show up in most places this summer - which is why I try to have less of them sitting around at home! I don’t deprive myself of food and drink indulgences, especially while celebrating summer, but I am aware that they make more frequent appearances at this time of year. One of my rules is: for every glass of rosé, I have a glass of water - this keeps me hydrated and less likely to off a bottle haha. As for summer treats, I enjoy a little bit of everything, but make 80% of what I normally eat centered around proteins and veggies to give myself some sweet/savory wiggle room when I need it - because I will need it!
Bottom line is: Summer is a time to enjoy life. Balance it the best you can, because as we all know, total deprivation simply doesn’t work, and will lead to oversaturation in the end.

We are thrilled to announce our NEWEST program, The 2-Week DanceBody Reset. This program is designed to rebuild your workout routine with a strong foundation of proper form and increased endurance.
Over 2 weeks, experience daily 60-minute workouts with a member of our training team: Katia, Courtnay, Natalie, and Emily. This consistent format will ensure results as you gradually intensify your movement.

- How does it work?
Over the 2-Week time period, you will experience 4 different workout modules with 4 different trainers. You will work with the same trainer for 3 consecutive days. Enjoy a much needed rest day after each week to give yourself time to recover. You will have access to the program for 30 days - so nice, you could even do it twice!
- What are the workouts like?
Expect to workout 60-minutes each day. Start with 30-minutes of fun and followable dance cardio and finish with 30-minutes of full-body sculpt. Each trainer will supply you with the tools necessary to level up to the next day’s workout.
- Who can do this program?
Truly anyone! Whether you're a #StreamTeam newbie looking for a more structured approach to your at home workouts, or a DanceBody Pro needing to stay accountable, anyone can benefit from the 2-Week Reset.
